DESCRIPTION:The SMSU Ag Bowl FFA Invitational is a great opportunity for Minnesota FFA members to build skills\, explore agriculture careers\, and experience the SMSU campus. Teach Ag Minnesota encourages chapters to take part in this event and support students as they grow through hands-on learning. \nNow in its 14th year\, the invitational offers 16 Career Development Events for students in grades 7 through 12. Participants can compete individually or as a team. The event also provides scholarship opportunities for top chapter\, team\, and individual performers\, thanks to support from Ralco and additional sponsors. \nEvent Schedule\nRegistration: 7:30 to 8:10 a.m. at the SMSU RA FacilityWelcome: 8:15 to 8:30 a.m.CDE Competition: Immediately following the welcome\, ending by early afternoon \nLeadership Development Events will not be held this year. SUMMARY:UMN Crookston Agricultural Education CDE Event
DESCRIPTION:Teach Ag Minnesota invites FFA members to take part in the Agricultural Education CDE Invitational at the University of Minnesota Crookston. This event is designed to help students explore agricultural education as a career path while practicing the skills needed to teach and lead in today’s classrooms. \nStudents in grades 9 through 12 will work in teams of two. The event includes lesson planning\, teaching\, and professional communication. It is a strong opportunity for students who enjoy helping others learn\, leading activities\, or considering a future in agricultural education. \nEvent Format\nPart 1: Create and submit a lesson plan for a 50 minute class period.Part 2: Teach a 12 to 15 minute portion of the lesson to a panel of judges.Part 3: Respond to questions about the content and delivery of the lesson. \nFor 2025 to 2026\, the required content area is Animal Systems. Students must teach within this topic area. \nAll FFA members may participate\, even if competing in another CDE. If both events overlap at the State FFA Convention\, students will need to choose one. \nRegistration\nAdvisors may register by emailing Mike Martin at mart6864@crk.umn.edu with participant names.Registration is due January 9. \nEncourage your students to try the Ag Ed CDE Invitational and experience what it is like to plan\, teach\, and inspire others through agricultural education.

DESCRIPTION:Do you aspire to become an agriculture teacher and create a welcoming classroom where every student belongs? The Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council (MAELC) invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the Agricultural Education for All Scholarship-a program created to expand access to the teaching profession and support students from all backgrounds. \nScholarship Deadlines:\nApplications accepted once per year – February 1 \nAbout the Scholarship:\nThis scholarship provides up to $5\,000 per recipient to help students pursuing licensure in Agricultural Education. Priority will be given to those entering their first year or those who have not previously received MAELC scholarship funding\, though all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. MAELC believes that increasing diversity in ag classrooms fosters student belonging and strengthens the future of agricultural education in Minnesota. \nWho Can Apply:\n\nUndergraduate students entering or enrolled in Agricultural Education-Teacher Licensure programs at:\n\nSouthwest Minnesota State University\nUniversity of Minnesota-Crookston\nUniversity of Minnesota-Twin Cities\n\n\nGraduate students entering or enrolled in the M.S.
