Educator Curriculum
There are many great resources available to 5-12 educators in their classrooms. Below you will find some of our favorites from organizational partners.

Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources State Frameworks (AFNR)
While academic standards in math, science, language arts, and social studies are set at the state level, each district in Minnesota must establish, align, revise, and review its own standards in career and technical education (Minn. § 120B.022, Subd. 1; Minn. § 120B.021, Subd. 4, d). To aid with setting local standards within AFNR, the Minnesota Department of Education has aligned and adapted the National AFNR Career Cluster Content Standards, to create the Minnesota AFNR Standards and Frameworks. Local entities are encouraged to adapt the standards to meet the needs of their community, AFNR industry sector, and local needs. This allows school districts to decide what is most relevant and right for their students in providing that all-important link between the school and the AFNR business community.
Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Teacher Resource (AFNR)
This resources offers course materials and curriculum organized by AFNR course topics that have been cultivated by agriculture teacher peers.
Minnesota Department of Education Safety Manual
Minnesota offers a robust safety curriculum for Career and Technical Education, which includes Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) education classrooms and lab space. This resource is broken down into three parts, including a general manual, a student workbook, and a teacher guide. This is Minnesota specific and drastically reduces your liability if a student were to be injured.
Advisory Committee Handbook
Every AFNR program has to have an advisory committee that governs them. Learn about Advisory Committees and Partnerships on the Minnesota Department of Education website. This includes a Career Program Advisory Committee Handbook to provide guidance in creating and coordinating work of advisory committees.
