MAELC Agricultural Education for All Scholarship — Deadline: February 1
Do you aspire to become an agriculture teacher and create a welcoming classroom where every student belongs? The Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council (MAELC) invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the Agricultural Education for All Scholarship—a program created to expand access to the teaching profession and support students from all backgrounds.

About the Scholarship:
This scholarship provides up to $5,000 per recipient to help students pursuing licensure in Agricultural Education. Priority will be given to those entering their first year or those who have not previously received MAELC scholarship funding, though all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. MAELC believes that increasing diversity in ag classrooms fosters student belonging and strengthens the future of agricultural education in Minnesota.
Who Can Apply:
- Undergraduate students entering or enrolled in Agricultural Education–Teacher Licensure programs at:
- Southwest Minnesota State University
- University of Minnesota–Crookston
- University of Minnesota–Twin Cities
- Graduate students entering or enrolled in the M.S. Initial or Additional Licensure program in Ag Ed at the U of M – Twin Cities.
- Students may apply prior to formal acceptance into a program.
- Students from a traditionally underrepresented group in the agriculture teaching field are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a firm commitment to teaching in Minnesota.
Selection Process:
Applications are evaluated based on academic merit, passion, and commitment to become an agricultural education teacher, as well as financial need.
