A Rising Star in Agricultural Education
Meet Madison Douvier, a dedicated future agriculture teacher from a small farm just ten miles away from Villard, Minnesota. Growing up on her family’s beef cattle operation, Madison developed a profound connection to agriculture. Now a junior at Southwest Minnesota State University, she is preparing for her student teaching journey in the fall of 2025.
Madison’s entry into the Agricultural Education major was influenced by her positive experiences with dedicated teachers and the strong sense of community within agriculture. Inspired by their impact, she decided to pursue a career in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) education to make a similar difference for her future students.

NAAE Ambassador Journey
Madison’s involvement as an National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) ambassador has been transformative. One of the highlights of her ambassador journey was attending the National FFA Convention, where she joined 12 other student ambassadors from across the country. At the convention, Madison participated in teacher workshops, staffed the wellness lounge, and engaged at the NAAE #TeachAg booth.
These experiences provided her with the opportunity to connect with educators nationwide and actively recruit the next generation of agriculture teachers. Being part of the NAAE program has given Madison invaluable insights, a strong support network, and the confidence to grow as an educator. As she returns to Minnesota, she looks forward to continuing her ambassador role through teach ag workshops, sharing her experiences and inspiring others.
Future Plans
Upon graduating, Madison plans to pursue a high school agriculture teaching position relatively close to her hometown and continue her family’s cattle operation. She is passionate about advocating for the agriculture industry and is eager to have her own classroom where she can make a lasting impact on her students’ lives. Madison’s experience as an NAAE ambassador has underscored the power of mentorship, networking, and the strength of the agriculture, food and natural resources community. She is enthusiastic about integrating these lessons into her future classroom, contributing to the legacy of impactful AFNR education in Minnesota.
Madison’s Impact as an NAAE Ambassador in Minnesota
Having Madison as an NAAE ambassador is especially exciting for Teach Ag Minnesota. These ambassadors come from across the United States, bringing fresh perspectives and diverse experiences to the state’s AFNR education landscape. Madison embodies the spirit of the NAAE mission to empower agricultural educators and inspire the next generation of leaders in the field. Her passion, dedication, and the skills she has developed through the NAAE program are already making a significant impact both locally and within the broader AFNR education community.
